I didn't know the particular group of psychologists he was building from, or about Buehler.

I'm thinking of something for the weekend about deep and dark ecology. Right now I'll say that I'm not actually a big fan of the dark ecology term. The pessimism it seems to provoke is a little too simple for me, at least in the discussions that come to my mind at the moment.Adam Riggiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14606510835439580828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8708273719674528189.post-73286013716444506612014-12-18T14:06:27.842-08:002014-12-18T14:06:27.842-08:00Actually Ness didn't originate experimental ph...Actually Ness didn't originate experimental philosophy. He was basically extending work already done by the Wuerzburg School of psychology, which he probably found out about when he hung out at the Vienna Circle. Among the Wuerzburgers was Karl Buehler, who did something quite similar but is perhaps best known today as Karl Popper's PhD supervisor. This is not to deny that Ness is an interesting character. And perhaps you're about get into deep ecology -- and why that leads to dark ecology?Steve Fullerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02282125191991729151noreply@blogger.com
